'Wonder Devotional Book Early Reader' (our very favorite devotion for the kids.
'Slugs & Bugs & Lullabies',great young childrens CD by Andrew Peterson and Randall Goodgame.
A friend nagged me for months to read 'The Treasure Principle' and it made me contemplate everything
from material possessions to tithing to debt and everything in between. Great book.
Kevin Leman parenting books are great tools.

My mom had me read 'Do Hard Things', by Alex and Brett Harris. It is an excellent book for teens.
It encouraged me to go above and beyond normal expectations, and show what God truly means to me.
'Jesus Freaks' is a book detailing the sacrifices of martyrs, and the impact they had on many people.
'Captivating' is a wonderful book that encourages women to be their best... not for men, but for God.
Using scripture, it tells again and again of His undying love for us.
'The Elsie Dinsmore Series': books about the life of a young woman struggling against the world
and Satan to live for the Lord.

'Come to the Table, Food, Fellowship, and a Celebration of God's Bounty' Author Benita Long,
Thomas Nelson Publisher - Great gift book for a friend who loves to cook or loves to look at recipes!
A beautiful book, "a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Reflections on Scripture passages and
inspiring quotations from celebrated poets and theologians provide sustenance for the soul."

I’ve been reading some apologetics lately – a fascinating and worthy area of study.
'Reasonable Faith, Christian Truth and Apologetics' by William Lane Craig is, in my opinion, an
outstanding example of honest appraisal, thorough research and compelling argument on such topics
as the existence of God, deity of Christ, truth of the resurrection, etc. Craig expects a lot of his reader
as much of the scientific and philosophical content is highly technical, but Craig has a teacher’s gift
for illustration and explanation, and the reader is well rewarded for the careful concentration that the
book requires. It is obviously a labor of love on the author’s part, and a work I am appreciating even
more on second reading.
Christopher J.H. Wright’s, 'the GOD i DON’T UNDERSTAND', reflections on tough questions of
faith offers thoughtful responses to four often asked questions -- “What about evil and suffering?”
“What about the Canaanites?” “What about the cross?” “What about the end of the world?”
I’m only about half way through this book, so I’m not qualified to give a final review; however, I have
benefited from Wright’s “take” on these subjects so far and am looking forward to finishing it.
Not a book on apologetics per se, but a lovely description of essential Christian doctrines and their
applications is Sinclair B. Ferguson’s 'The Christian Life, A Doctrinal Introduction' – a book for
pondering and underlining.
Two daily devotional books I’ve been enjoying this year are the classic 'Daily Strength for Daily Needs',
compiled by Mary W. Tileston, and
'God’s Minute, A Book of 365 Daily Prayers Sixty Seconds Long for Home Worship' which is
a compilation, as the title suggests, of devotional prayers contributed by clergy and laymen alike. The
latter book, first printed in 1916, is out of print, but the entire book is accessible for reading on
google books.com.
